

Winter Warmer - Ayurvedic Tea You Can Cozy Up With

- 1 Small Sauce Pan
Ingredients
- 2 Whole Cardamom Pods (substitute 1/8 tsp powder)
- 1 Whole Cinnamon Stick (substitute 1/4 tsp powder)
- 1 tbsp Fresh Ginger grated or minced (substitute 1/4 tsp powder)
- 3-5 Strands Saffron
- 1½ Cup Milk
- ½ Cup Water
Instructions
- Add milk and water to a sauce pan over medium high heat and bring to a boil. Always keep an eye on cooking milk so it doesn't boil over.
- Add all other ingredients to the pot and return to a simmer over medium low heat, stirring regularly, for about 5-10 minutes, until aromatic.
Notes
You can use any kind of milk with this recipe or only use water. It is perfect for right before bed to help increase tryptophan if you have trouble sleeping, or to warm you up on a cold afternoon. Enjoy!
