Spiced Almond and Date Shake

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cup Almond Milk Substitute dairy or coconut milk
  • 2 Whole Dates Pitted
  • inch Piece of Ginger Peeled
  • tsp Cinnamon Powder
  • tsp Ginger Powder
  • tsp Cardamom Powder Substitute nutmeg or clove

Instructions
 

  • Peel the ginger and roughly chop.
  • Warm milk over medium heat in a sauce pan, optional, to just before boiling.
  • Add dates, ginger, milk, and spices to a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Serve in a mug, and sprinkle with a pinch of cinnamon, optional.

Notes

For a stronger restorative effect for vata imbalance, add 1 tsp ghee and substitute dairy milk for almond milk. You may also substitute with coconut milk.
Experiment with the spices you use to make it your own.
