Spiced Almond and Date Shake
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Almond Milk Substitute dairy or coconut milk
- 2 Whole Dates Pitted
- ⅛ inch Piece of Ginger Peeled
- ⅛ tsp Cinnamon Powder
- ⅛ tsp Ginger Powder
- ⅛ tsp Cardamom Powder Substitute nutmeg or clove
Instructions
- Peel the ginger and roughly chop.
- Warm milk over medium heat in a sauce pan, optional, to just before boiling.
- Add dates, ginger, milk, and spices to a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
- Serve in a mug, and sprinkle with a pinch of cinnamon, optional.
Notes
For a stronger restorative effect for vata imbalance, add 1 tsp ghee and substitute dairy milk for almond milk. You may also substitute with coconut milk.
